Electronic Arts has just shared some interesting details about its financial performance, confirming that it’s recorded a massive increase in terms of profit from digital ventures, like the Battlefield Premium bundle which has just sold over 2 million units.

Battlefield 3 generated a huge amount of sales for fans of the franchise back in 2011 and it received a very special DLC bundle in the form of Battlefield Premium, earlier this year. This one includes access to all of the game’s expansions, to both those that have already appeared and those that have yet to be released, plus other special features.

The bundle has been a hit and now EA has confirmed that it’s sold over 2 million copies of the special package, according to CVG.

This great performance, coupled with the impressive sales reached by other downloadable products, has boosted EA’s digital revenue by over 40% compared to the same period of last year.

Considering there are still two more expansions for Battlefield 3 that have yet to appear, the Premium package will no doubt sell even more units in the months to come.
