Visceral Games has just released the 1.02 patch for Battlefield Hardline, ready for download now on all platforms the video game is available on.

The update delivers some of the promised revisions, most notably fixing the Team Deathmatch spawns, reducing the amount of screen shake experienced when getting shot at, and numerous other changes.

The first-person shooter aims to offer a different setting and gameplay dynamic for fans of the military-themed series, and you can read all about it in our Battlefield Hardline review.

Of course, while the launch was far from the disaster that occurred when Battlefield 4 first hit the water, Battlefield Hardline was not without its fair share of problems.

Fortunately, things are working the way they were intended for the most part, and now Visceral Games has addressed some of the most glaring issues spotted by the community.

As such, some crashes affecting specific Nvidia-based video cards, as well as some others related to various video card drivers and BugSentry have now been fixed, and the PunkBuster client no longer causes performance issues.

There are also some changes to Battlepacks and miscellaneous gameplay balance fixes, including tweaks to some of the weapons and multiplayer modes, and the update also addresses some server problems.

In addition to the fixes, the patch also marks the debut of the Rent-a-Server program on both last- and current-generation consoles

The patch notes for each platform, namely PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, are available on the Battlefield forums.
