Battlefield 4 and All Other Frostbite 3 Games Are Optimized for AMD on PC

Most of EA's new PC games will run better on AMD graphics cards at launch

Electronic Arts has confirmed that all of its upcoming games that are powered by the Frostbite 3 engine will be optimized at launch for AMD hardware on the PC platform, including Battlefield 4 or the new Command & Conquer, and much more.

Practically, all of EA's upcoming lineup is powered by the new Frostbite 3 engine that's geared not just towards current platforms, like PS3 or Xbox 360, but also next-gen ones, like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

On the PC, EA has confirmed, via IGN, that all Frostbite 3-powered games, ranging from Battlefield 4 to Command & Conquer, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, or the new Mass Effect, will be optimized first for AMD hardware, including CPUs, but mostly relating to graphics cards.

Nvidia owners will still have a good experience, but customized drivers won't be available on launch day for most of these games, so a decrease in performance might be noticed.
