Modes, vehicles and weapons are now better balanced

The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts surprised many gamers by launching the long-awaited September update for Battlefield 4 without any prior warning on all platforms, and the companies are now also offering a full set of patch notes.

The changes made to the first-person shooter are extensive, and hardcore fans will spend a lot of time poring over the official announcement in order to see exactly how they will approach the title from now on.

DICE is also introducing a number of fixes for crashes and other problems, and there are some small tweaks that are specific for the PC and the PlayStation 3.

Rush, Obliteration, Obliteration Competitive, Capture the Flag and Carrier Assault modes are improved, there are major modifications made to revival and to the way jets work, and the vehicles and the weapons are now better balanced.

The September update for Battlefield 4 was in large part based on the info offered by gamers via the Community Test Environment.

At the moment, DICE is also developing the final downloadable content pack for the shooter, called The Last Stand, which will be offered before the end of the year and will include futuristic weapons and vehicles linked to the Russian Arctic.
