A brand new report has appeared online citing a representative from Electronic Arts who revealed that the final version of Battlefield 4 for the Xbox One would run at a 720p (1280x720) resolution and with a 60FPS framerate, while the PS4 edition would see the game running at a higher resolution.

Battlefield 4 is set to debut this October for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, while its next-gen edition will appear in November for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

While developer DICE has been bragging about the game's performance on the next-gen consoles, it seems that the game still won't achieve the ideal standard of 1080p resolution and 60FPS framerate.

According to website GameSpark, via DS, the Xbox One edition of Battlefield 4 will only run at 720p resolution and at 60FPS, as confirmed by an unnamed EA representative.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 edition will run at a higher resolution, although it's unclear if it will be 1080p. The framerate will remain intact, at 60fps.

As of yet, however, an official statement from EA or DICE concerning Battlefield 4's next-gen editions hasn't appeared.
