Battlefield 4's multiplayer mode has received a few new details straight from developer DICE, who confirmed that seven game modes and 10 maps would be included in the upcoming online experience of the first-person shooter.

Battlefield 4 is set to deliver a new evolution in terms of shooters, as the game, powered by DICE's improved Frostbite 3 engine, will appear on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but also on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

At Gamescom 2013 last week, DICE posted quite a few new things with Battlefield 4, and has just revealed on its blog that the game was set to launch with seven game modes, in the form of Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Rush, Domination, Conquest, Defuse, and Obliteration.

All these modes will be playable on 10 different multiplayer maps that will be launched with the game. Don't forget that five different add-ons are going to appear for Battlefield 4, so the total number will increase dramatically after the game's launch.
