The development team at DICE is announcing that the first server restart for Battlefield 4 after the delivery of the September patch will take place today at 9 AM Greenwich Mean Time and 2 AM Pacific Time, with the multiplayer side of the game affected for a limited time.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the company, and as always, no information is offered on the reasons for the restart and it's not mentioned if the game will get any changes during the process.

Part of the player community was expecting that at least the frequency of server restarts for Battlefield 4 would decrease after the launch of the most recent patch, which is designed to change the core shooter experience in significant ways.

Gamers are able to access a new Classic mode for the first-person shooter and there are tweaks to both weapons and vehicles that are designed to make the entire experience feel better balanced.

The studio is still asking for feedback from the fan base in the Community Test Environment.

At the moment, DICE is also working on the last downloadable content pack for Battlefield 4, called The Last Stand, which will take gamers to the Russian Arctic and allow them to use a range of futuristic weaponry on a range of new maps.
