Battlefield 4 might get support for the new Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, at least according to a new job listing from developer DICE, who's looking for a university student that wants to venture on this project.

Battlefield 4 is out at the end of the year, probably in October, and until then the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will be in the hands of many gamers.

As a result, DICE has posted a job listing for a university student who wants to explore in his master thesis the implementation of Oculus Rift support inside Battlefield 4's Frostbite 3 engine.

No other details have been given, but it seems that, once the Frostbite engine supports the Oculus Rift software development kit, it could easily be implemented in many other games running on the same tech, like the next Mass Effect or Dragon Age titles.

As of yet, DICE hasn't detailed any of its VR plans.
