DICE knows how to add more value for multiplayer fans

Craig Mcleod, a producer on the Battlefield series at developer DICE, says that the approach his team has taken on downloadable content for Battlefield 3 was influenced by the way content for Bad Company 2 performed.

He tells The Official Xbox Magazine that “I look back to Bad Company 2, and we released a number of map packs, and then right at the end of the Bad Company cycle we released Vietnam.”

New maps and vehicles were a big part of the DICE approach, and the same thing is happening with the End Game content for Battlefield 3.

Gamers can access an entire new feature called vehicles air drop that changes the way the game plays in multiplayer.

As the name suggests, End Game is the final piece of DLC for Battlefield 3, and the team at DICE is already showing a sequel behind closed doors, presumably linked to next-gen home consoles.
