The development team at Warner Bros. working on Batman: Arkham Origins says that the entire story of the new Dark Knight title will take place in the second year of the character’s history, when he is not yet an established force for good and the police is looking for him.

Eric Holmes, the creative director, tells VG247 that the Dark Knight has not yet met Commissioner Gordon and still needs to hide in the shadows as he is taking out the most powerful criminals in the city.

The gamer will also introduce The Joker but he will not be the primary antagonist.

Batman will also have access to a new electric glove gadget that will allow him to increase his attack power and will unlock new moves, some of them designed to counter the shields that some enemies are using.

Arkham Origins will also include a 1 vs. 100 mode that allows gamers to choose one character and take out as many enemies as possible.

The new Batman title launches on October 25.
