Batman: Arkham Origins has been officially confirmed for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U platforms, in the form of a prequel made by developer Warner Bros. Montreal.

The Batman Arkham series has proven that superhero-based games can deliver quality experiences by impressing many with the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City installments.

Now, GameInformer magazine has confirmed with its new cover story reveal that a new game is coming in the form of Batman: Arkham Origins.

The game is a prequel, as you can tell by its name, and stars a younger Batman who'll interact with another set of allies and enemies before his adventures in Asylum and City.

As of yet, no other details are known, but the game is expected to appear on October 25 for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii U platforms.
