After hearing an official confirmation that a third Batman Arkham game is coming this year, job listings from Warner Bros.' Montreal studio hint that the title could be coming from that developer, instead of Rocksteady, and that it's going to appear for next-generation consoles.

Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City has impressed millions of gamers from around the world, as developer Rocksteady has proved that it can make comic book adaptations work as video games.

Now, after hearing yesterday that a third Arkham game was coming this year, Videogamer has posted a report, claiming that Warner Bros. Montreal is actually making the new game instead of Rocksteady.

What's more, due to job listings that call for programmers and designers eager to work on next-gen games, Batman Arkham 3 could end up appearing for next-generation consoles later this year, when the so-called PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 are expected to release.

As of yet, Warner Bros. hasn't revealed any new info about the new game.
