Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition will get a launch date during summer of 2013 and will allow players to get access to the much-loved role-playing game, complete with support for modern devices and new content.

Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition is being developed by Overhaul games, the company that is currently bringing the first game in the series to the PC, the iPad and Android-powered devices.

Trent Oster, the creative director at Overhaul Games, has talked to Red Bull United Kingdom about the launch date.

He has said that, “The instant Baldur’s Gate is completed most of our team is ready to start work on, with a couple holding back to continue to add features and support the fans. We’re planning on shipping in 2013, hopefully before the end of summer.”

Oster has also reiterated that his team is interested in working on Baldur’s Gate 3 as long as the two remakes are well received by the public.
