Nintendo has revealed that Atlus is bringing its hit 3DS video game Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains to western markets this May.

The news comes from the latest Nintendo Direct show, during which a ton of interesting announcements were made, outlining the company's plans for the coming months.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains is based on the popular manga series created by Hajime Isayama. It is set in a fantasy world where humanity is nearly extinct, living inside cities surrounded by gigantic walls, the last line of defense against Titans, mysterious humanoid creatures who invaded the world and are eating everyone.

The Japanese edition of the game, the latest in the series of Attack on Titan titles, made its debut in 2013, on Nintendo's handheld gaming devices, coming from reputable developer Spike Chunsoft.

The game enables users to step into the shoes of various characters from the anime and even hook up in coop in order to take down Titans, making a final stand for the human race.

The title also comes with support for the New Nintendo 3DS' C-stick and for the Circle Pad Pro, allows up to four people in multiplayer, and introduces a series of additional updates.
