The PC version of Assassin's Creed Unity patch 5 has just been delayed on the PC platform by Ubisoft, as apparently the developer needs more time to further polish the update and ensure that it doesn't end up causing even more problems than it fixes.
Assassin's Creed Unity launched back in November of last year and was supposed to herald the next big age in the long-running series made by Ubisoft. Unfortunately, while it had lofty goals, it ended up falling completely short thanks to many glitches, framerate issues, and content problems.
The latest major patch, in the form of update 5, launched for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms earlier this week, and at that time, Ubisoft promised that the PC version would roll out in the following days.
Unfortunately, that hasn't happened and Ubisoft confirms on the official Twitter that patch 5 for Assassin's Creed Unity on the PC has been delayed.
The publisher refrains from offering any new release window for the update, so it's unclear if it will roll out for Unity on PC this week or if players will have to wait until next week to actually get their hands on it.
The update brings forth a variety of improvements, while removing the annoying Assassin's Creed Initiates mobile app integration and chests.
The release of Patch 5 for PC has been delayed, we will have more news on this soon.
