Ashraf Ismail, the game director working on Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, says that his team would be interested in exploring Egypt in a future installment of the series.

The developer tells Examiner that, "one day I would love to explore Egypt as a setting for this game. Ancient Egypt could be a really cool place. We have a really cool explanation for how we can do this, and it is with this Animus device that allows us to go to anytime in history."

He says that his team will get plenty of opportunities because Assassin’s Creed is an annual release which needs to deliver variety and innovation to its fans.

Black Flag is dedicated to exploring the seas and the islands of the Caribbean and its unique mechanics is made up of ship-to-ship engagements.

The game will be launched on October 29 in North America and on November 1 in Europe on current-gen consoles.
