Ubisoft has just posted a brand new trailer for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed III, emphasizing the role players will have during the American Revolution.

The 4th of July is right around the corner, so Ubisoft wants to make sure every North American knows what they’ll be able to do in Assassin’s Creed III, a game set right during the war of independence.

As such, the French company has posted a new and quite emotional trailer for the upcoming game, showing off the war between the American colonials and the British imperial forces.

In the footage above, you can see the main character, Connor, as he moves through the battlefield and influences the course of the war. During the whole game, the protagonist will play an important role as he struggles to defeat the Templars and the British soldiers.

Ubisoft is also heavily promoting an array of pre-order bonuses for the game and its special editions, which are different from region to region.

Assassin’s Creed III is out on October 30 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
