A future single-player expansion for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will let players take control of infamous pirate Blackbeard, at least according to a set of PS3 trophies that have been added to the game.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, and Ubisoft has already confirmed that owners of the game will be able to enjoy a new single-player story campaign starring Kenway's first mate, Adewale.

Now, the PS3 trophies for Black Flag, as spotted by PS3trophies, mention a second single-player add-on that introduces another playable protagonist – Blackbeard.

The infamous pirate is an important character in the story of Edward Kenway, and it seems that this new expansion, called Blackbeard's Wrath, will allow players to learn more about him.

The add-on is also set to include at least three new characters for the multiplayer, in the form of Blackbeard himself, but also the Jaguar and the Orchid.

As of yet, Ubisoft hasn't commented on this leak.
