According to Amazon UK, FIFA 15 dominated the pre-order chart during Gamescom by a rather large margin.

Amazon revealed a bit of information showing that, after this year's edition of Gamescom, the Nintendo Wii U enjoyed the biggest spike in overall software pre-orders, and now the retailer is back with more information regarding the United Kingdom in particular.

The list based on the actual number of pre-orders surprises nobody, as the FIFA series is known to be by far the most popular game in the entire UK, especially when there's not a brand new Grand Theft Auto around to mess with its sales.

Amazon UK's Gamescom pre-order chart shows that FIFA 15 is in the first four places, with the PlayStation 4 (twice), Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions.

The PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 15 is the best-selling SKU, in spite of the fact that the game was featured during Microsoft's press conference, and comes with a bit of Xbox exclusive content, but it's most likely due to Sony's console's larger install base.

Following the popular football games are Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, The Sims 4 – Limited Edition for PC, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition for the PlayStation 4, FIFA 15 again, and closing the top 10 is Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Limited Edition for the PlayStation 3.

It's rare to see a PC game up there at the top of the pre-orders list, but The Sims series has always shown solid retail figures in the past.
