The past week has been quite tense for 38 Studios, the developer behind the recent Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning action RPG but, in between the financial turmoil, its long awaited Project Copernicus online game has received a new trailer and a likely release date.
Reckoning impressed many with its impressive RPG mechanics and action-oriented gameplay, so quite a lot of people are now awaiting the online game based on the universe, which is codenamed Project Copernicus.
While we haven't heard a lot from 38 Studios about the MMO in recent months, both a trailer and a possible release date, via Joystiq, appeared yesterday.
According to Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee, who took part in several talks with 38 Studios bosses over a major loan guaranteed by the state, Project Copernicus is scheduled to arrive sometime in June, 2013.
While that may seem a bit soon for an online game of its size, the new trailer, which you can see above, definitely shows a rich world that's ready to welcome lots of players.
As of yet, neither the release date nor the trailer have been confirmed by 38 Studios.
