The development team at Gearbox and publisher SEGA are launching a new trailer for their upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines, which details the story of the universe up to the point where players can get involved in the narrative.

The new game is not linked to the story that James Cameron told through Prometheus this year and will focus on the events of the original movie in the Aliens series.

Gearbox has already delayed the game two times in order to polish the experience.

Aliens: Colonial Marines will introduce both a single-player and a multiplayer experience and gamers will be able to use a variety of authentic franchise weaponry to take out the creepy crawlers.

The game will be out on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC on February 12 of next year.
