14 DAY TRIAL // Eric Hirshberg, the chief executive officer of the publishing division of Activision, says that his company would love to see the Wii U home console from Nintendo perform better in the marketplace.
The executive states during a call with investors, obtained by Seeking Alpha, that, “we've done well despite weaknesses for both the Wii and the Wii U and seeing the Wii U take off would be great, but remains to be seen.”
The Skylanders toys and video game mix is available on the Wii U and increased sales of the hardware will create a larger potential market for the Activision product.
The new Nintendo console has performed worse than expected and the company is looking for ways to revive sales, which might include a price cut.
Activision already has plans for the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox 720 from Microsoft.
