14 DAY TRIAL // A video created by FPS Russia that was linked to by the official Call of Duty website seems to suggest that the next video game in the series will take place about 10 years into the future, which might hint at major changes to the formula of the franchise.
The video shows off a new kind of drone, described as a “prototype quadrotor with machine gun,” which is being apparently developed by military forces in order to aid the infantryman in future engagements.
The keywords associated with the video include: Tacitus, Black Ops, zombie poker party and Tacitus T-shirt.
It’s not clear whether the futuristic drone will make an appearance in the next Call of Duty video game.
Activision has not offered any information on the game that will be launched during the fall, but rumors suggest that Treyarch is working on Black Ops 2, which will be a prequel to the initial game in the series.
