The two new franchises have a total of 50 million users

Activision has revealed that the life-to-date revenue from Destiny and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has now passed the $1 / €0.9 billion mark.

The information comes from the company's financial report for the first quarter of 2015, and delivers with a bunch of other interesting information.

Bungie's multiplayer-oriented science fiction first-person shooter Destiny has a total of 20 million registered players, while Blizzard Entertainment's fantasy-themed collectible card game has managed to top 30 million registered users, after its launch on smartphones.

Hearthstone's Goblins vs Gnomes expansion content has continued to sell well, marking steady engagement and revenues for the title, in spite of the lack of new releases during the quarter.

Destiny shows strong digital sales and expansion attach rates, while continuing to boast an average of three hours per day play time from its active users.

The company has announced that the sales figures for the Call of Duty franchise, one of the biggest IPs in the video games industry, have noticed a double digit increase year-on-year, due to the stellar performance of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare during Q1.

Activision has reported growing online revenues per user across the franchise, and a resounding early success of the mictrotransaction offerings, which helped drive increased engagement and monetization.

Furthermore, Call of Duty Online entered open beta in China, marking the expansion of the series into what the company calls "the world's largest gaming market."
