Video game publisher Activision currently has no plans to use the Skylanders franchise to power a television series or a feature movie, but will deliver more content for the mix of video games and toys.

John Coyne, a vice president of consumer marketing, tells MCV that, “In terms of a TV show or a movie, no there are not any plans. We believe the game is the entertainment.”

He believes that fans who already know the franchise can have a deep Skylanders experience by just playing the game.

Plans might change at a later date and, in the meanwhile, Activision will continue to expand content for its title.

Skylanders will get competition later in the summer from Disney Infinity, a new mix of toys and video game experiences based on The Incredibles, Monsters Inc. and Pirates of the Caribbean.
