Bobby Kotick, the chief executive officer of Activision, says that it expects the new Call of Duty title created by Sledgehammer to deliver the same level of quality that fans of the franchise have received from studios like Treyarch and Infinity Ward.

VG247 quotes the executive as telling investors in conference call that the new title will be “one of if not the best” that players have received access to.

Activision has not offered any sort of details on the new Call of Duty but it will probably be offered on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Wii U, current gen consoles and the PC in late fall of this year.

Sledgehammer games has also hinted that the title is designed to inaugurate a new era of the series, which suggests a new storyline that is not connected with that of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 or Ghosts.
