Our big gaming obsession this week has been Fallout: New Vegas, the post apocalyptic role playing action mix from developer Obsidian and publisher Bethesda, which got a series of Gamer Diaries and a full review.

But we also had time to talk about Lionheart: Kings' Crusade and create a Weekend Reading feature about RAGE and the ubiquitous Fallout: New Vegas and a EndWeekGame piece about our play schedule for the weekend.

And, of course, we also have a look back at the last seven days and the most important news that popped up.

Monday was all about Diablo III, with Blizzard talking at BlizzCon about the upcoming beta stage for the game, which will initially be offered for the friends and families of developers, and about how the game is more than half done, with some features still to be added.

Tuesday a developer at Junction Point talked about the Nintendo Wii exclusive Epic Mickey, saying that it will include a variety of endings depending on the actions of the gamer.

On the same day Sony talked about those developers working exclusively on the PlayStation 3, saying that they are unlocking the full potential of the company.

Wednesday an analyst suggested that the two big music simulation franchises, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, should join forces to limit the decline of the genre while the developers at Treyarch talked about the emotional element in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Thursday was a good day for the environment, with Greenpeace saying that Nintendo and Microsoft are the worst companies when it comes to going green among the electronics companies.

This just as Treyarch offered more details about the multiplayer options for Call of Duty, the first person shooter that is set to be launched on November 9 on a variety of platforms.

Friday Sony unveiled the Helghast edition for Killzone 3, complete with helmet replica and action figure, as detailed instructions appeared about how to unlock Guybrush in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.
