It’s been another two day and a half workweek here at Softpedia as we continue to recover from the shocking amount of fun we’ve had on New Year’s Eve and on the first day of 2013, so once again we invite you to browse our impressive archive in search of reviews for the biggest titles of the past year.

We also introduce a new long-term Gamer Diary, under the label Incoming Games 2013, designed to talk players through the most important launches of the coming year and offer them a modicum of information on what they can expect.

We also invite you to take a look at the Softpedia Game of the Year 2012 series of articles, which gives a good overview of the most important titles of last year and some suggestions for future gaming time.

The top awards for 2012 were linked to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the strategy and tactics title from Firaxis, and Far Cry 3, the open-world first-person shooter from Ubisoft.

As usual, we also have the two Weekend Reading features: one that talks about the potential impact of new gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft and another about the exciting launches of the year.

We also have an EndWeekGame article about our ideas for the two free days and a selection of the most interesting news from the week that was.

We also talked about the continuing Steam Winter Sale promotion, which finally ended on Saturday.

On Thursday, a group of developers uncovered the GameStick, a portable home gaming consoles that was supposed to work with any HDTV, while Microsoft gave out the first signal linked to a potential Xbox 720 reveal during E3 2013.

On Friday, Activision removed all James Bond video games from its own store and Steam without offering an explanation and Epic Games revealed the official cover art for Gears of War: Judgment.

On Saturday, Akaneiro moved to Kickstarter and Rockstar offered a new piece of GTA V artwork.
